Members will understand how competing demands for food, energy, nature and decarbonisation are reshaping land use and the resilience of the UK food system.
Overview

Land use, farming and food security are now one shared question for rural Britain, with farmers asked to deliver food, energy, biodiversity and decarbonisation on the same land. The Cohort will explore what organisations are doing to balance those pressures and how this is reshaping the resilience of the UK food system.

Learning outcomes: Examine how farms balance food production with environmental goals; understand the investment and insurance pressures shaping land use; consider the policy trade-offs behind long-term food security.
