Overview

As Norway redevelops its total defence model, what does one of the UK’s closest neighbours see as its immediate threats? The Norwegian National Fire Academy in Arctic Norway is a world-class centre which has just introduced a residential and vocational training route for young adults to become firefighters. How does this model—training directly for a career role—differ from the UK’s system and set-up?
