Headline Outcomes
Members will understand the main post-16 routes available to young people and how effectively each connects learning to viable employment.
Overview

Post 16 choices shape the future workforce more than any other educational stage, with A levels, T levels, BTECs, apprenticeships and university competing for the same young people. The cohort will visit a sixth form, college and employer settings to see the routes constituents' children most commonly take and how well each one leads to viable work.

Learning outcomes: Compare sixth form, college, apprenticeship and employer settings; examine information and incentives; understand where pathways support or limit progression.
