Headline Outcomes
Members will understand how ambulance control rooms prioritise medical, mental-health, social-care and end-of-life calls under sustained demand.
Overview

Emergency triage covers mental health, primary care, social care and end of life conversations alongside medical calls, with the service averaging close to 100,000 calls a day. The Cohort will spend time inside a 999 call centre to hear how those decisions get made under huge pressure.

Learning outcomes: Listen to the realities of emergency call handling; understand triage and dispatch; examine how unmet need elsewhere in the system appears in 999 demand.
